As a Strategic Account Manager at MicroWarehouse/Sherweb, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth, expanding market share, and maximizing revenue across our cloud solutions portfolio. Leveraging your strong commercial acumen, relationship-building expertise, and market insight, you will deliver innovative sales strategies that create tangible value for our partners.

Here's how you will contribute to the success of the company

  • Act as a strategic advisor to our partners: Build and maintain strong relationships, actively participate in industry events, and identify partner objectives and needs to deliver high-value cloud solutions.
  • Drive growth through cross-sell and upsell opportunities: Identify and capitalize on additional revenue streams with existing partners.
  • Collaborate across teams: Build strong internal relationships with Product, Marketing, Presales, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional partner support.
  • Plan and execute innovative sales strategies: Design and implement processes for your territory to optimize sales performance.
  • Stay ahead of the market: Maintain deep industry knowledge and monitor market and competitor trends to proactively adjust strategies. 

 Here's what you need to have and master to get the job

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a strategic account manager (preferably B2B or partner sales)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud offerings and partner programs
  • An excellent command of English
  • Availability for business trips within Ireland
  • A strong client-centric approach and excellent communication skills
  • A proven ability to demonstrate the value of the cloud and a passion for the technology industry
  • A clear understanding of the sales cycle and ability implement innovative and effective sales strategies
  • Ability to solve complex problems and sharp analytical thinking
  • Excellent adaptability

About the Role 

As a Business Development Manager for the Windows devices brands at MicroWarehouse, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market share, and maximising revenue opportunities across the Windows device portfolio. You will leverage your commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and market insight to deliver innovative sales solutions and create value for partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to accelerate Windows devices sales growth, targeting new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts. 
  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new markets, verticals, and customer segments for the Windows devices   family, using data-driven insights and market intelligence. 
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Microsoft, channel partners, and end customers, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador. 
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Proactively generate leads, manage a robust sales pipeline, and drive conversion through consultative selling and solution-based approaches. 
  • Partner Enablement: Deliver training, support, and enablement programmes to empower partners and drive Windows device adoption. 
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor sales metrics, KPIs, and market trends, providing regular reports and actionable insights to leadership. 
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, technical, and operations teams to deliver seamless customer experiences and support strategic initiatives. 
  • Customer Advocacy: Gather and relay customer feedback to influence future sales strategies and product offerings. 
  • Event Participation: Represent MicroWarehouse and Windows devices brands at industry events, conferences, and partner forums to build brand awareness and network with industry peers. 
  • Align with the sales team to identify and introduce additional sales opportunities across the broader product portfolio. 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the IT or technology sector. 
  • Deep understanding of Windows device market and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. 
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Results-driven, with a passion for exceeding targets and delivering growth. 
  • Skilled in CRM software, sales forecasting, and pipeline management. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Experience in partner enablement, training, and solution selling is highly desirable.

  • College degree in IT or any other combination of pertinent training and experience. 
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Experienced in customer service;
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written are essential;
  • Experience in exploiting virtual infrastructures. 
  • Experience in one or several of the following area (an asset): 
    • Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere. 
    • PowerShell Scripting. 
    • Microsoft System Center. 
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or AWS. 
    • Veeam Backup and Replication 
    • Knowledge of clusters and high-availability environments. 
    • Experience in large-scale environments. 
    • Experience in the replication of multi-site environments. 
    • Operation of SaaS and IaaS services.
